Coach Rose Velan enters her first year in the Shenendehowa Soccer Program as the Girls Freshmen Soccer Coach. She has had a great deal of coaching experience at the Varsity, Premier, and Travel levels.

Velan attended SUNY Oneonta and was a part of the Women's Soccer Team for four years. She was a member of the 2003 Division III National Championship Team, which was recently inducted into the SUNY Oneonta Athletic Hall of Fame. During Velan's time at Oneonta, she was also an All-American on the Track Team.

Velan graduated with high honors and many academic accolades from Oneonta as a duel major. She attended Sage Graduate School for her masters in School Counseling and is currently a School Counselor in Koda Middle School.
